The Defence Information Group, based in the School of Computer Science at the University of Adelaide, conducts research into the challenges of building large, complex distributed systems required in Defence. Our areas of expertise include software architectures, model-driven engineering, information modelling, ontology development and distributed systems design.
We work closely with Defence and DSTO to support software engineering of distributed systems of systems, typically deployed within constrained environments. Our two main areas of research are:
- Performance Modelling and Prediction
- Security within Virtualised Environments
We are always interested in talking to students about potential projects, so if you are interested in software architecture, distributed systems or other related areas, and would like to pursue a project within this space please contact A/Prof Katrina Falkner.
