2012 Migration Update Conference

Migration and Social Transformation

Dates: 11-12 October 2012
Venue: RiAus The Science Exchange


The 2012 Migration Update Conference aims to inform researchers, policy makers, service providers and the broader community on current research in South Australia and Australia on refugee and migration matters.

The conference is an initiative of the Don Dunstan Foundation in collaboration with The University of Adelaide, Flinders University and the University of South Australia and supported by the Government of South Australia. Following success in its inaugural year of 2011 the conference has been established as an annual event.

The Don Dunstan Foundation invites the submission of abstracts on the theme for 2012, Migration and Social Transformation.

All researchers, including PhD candidates are encouraged to respond. Presentations will be no longer than 10 minutes per researcher and will be committed to the presentation of final research findings and their application to social change. Each presenter will be included in a panel of researchers.

Please submit an abstract of your proposed paper (no longer than 500-words), along with your name and institutional affiliation (if any) to: Sharna Pearce, Conference Coordinator, at

Abstracts will be reviewed within 3 weeks of the submission deadline. The deadline for submissions isĀ 31 July 2012.

The 2012 Migration Update Conference includes plenary presentations from practitioners, policy makers and researchers. Presenters may submit their final conference paper or power point presentation for publication on the Dunstan Foundation website immediately following the conference.
