2012 Migration Update Conference

Migration and Social Transformation

DATES: 11-12 OCTOBER 2012
VENUE: RIAUS THE SCIENCE EXCHANGE

The date for the submission of abstracts for the 2012 Migration Update Conference has been extended to 14 August. The theme for 2012 is Migration and Social Transformation.

The conference is an initiative of the Don Dunstan Foundation in collaboration with The University of Adelaide, Flinders University and the University of South Australia and supported by the Government of South Australia. Following success in its inaugural year of 2011 the conference has been established as an annual event.

The Conference aims to inform researchers, policy makers, service providers and the broader community about current research in South Australia and Australia on refugee and migration matters.

All researchers, including PhD candidates are encouraged to submit. The conference is dedicated to the presentation of final research findings and their relevance to social transformation. Each researcher will be included in a panel and will present for no longer than 10 minutes.

Abstracts of your proposed paper must be submitted by COB 14 August 2012 to: Sharna Pearce, Conference Coordinator, at sharna.pearce@adelaide.edu.au

Abstracts should be no longer than 500 words and be accompanied by your name, institutional affiliation (if any) and contact details.

Abstracts will be reviewed during the 3 weeks following the submission deadline.

The 2012 Migration Update Conference includes plenary presentations from practitioners, policy makers and researchers. Presenters may submit their final conference paper or power point presentation for publication on the Dunstan Foundation website immediately following the conference.

We look forward to receiving your abstract and to seeing you at the 2nd Migration Update Conference in Adelaide in October.
