Thank you for your support in 2014!

Dear Valued Supporters

On behalf of the Trustees, Board and Staff of the Don Dunstan Foundation I would like to thank you for your valued support for the Foundation in 2014.

The Foundation relies predominantly on the support of our members and donors to continue our important social justice agenda and honouring the wishes of the late former Premier of South Australia, Don Dunstan.

Over the past twelve months the Foundation has undertaken a number of important events, projects and programs, including an important conference on new models of dealing with homelessness; a series of lectures dealing with Austerity and the effects on those most vulnerable in our society; and of course our Annual Lowitja O’Donoghue Oration, this year with Professor Patrick Dodson who discussed the history of the Recognise movement and the importance of constitutional recognition of aboriginal people and the proposed referendum on this.

In 2015, the Foundation will be working on several pieces of research including a major project dealing environmental degradation with a particular focus on land rehabilitation and conservation; services for people with mental health problems in South Australia. We will continue to provide some scholarships and bursaries in support of furthering the education and vocational development of those who suffer disadvantage.

The Don Dunstan Foundation team wishes you a safe and happy festive season. We welcome your continuing support for our projects and events in 2015.

Best wishes

Donna Harden
