Thursday, 10 September 2015 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Adelaide Convention Centre, North Terrace, Adelaide

Tickets available here

The annual Migration Update Conference informs researchers, policy makers, service providers and the broader community on current research in local migration and refugee matters.

In 2015, the 5th Migration Update Conference will continue to fulfil its unique role in policy development on migration issues in South Australia as it has over the past four years. It will also draw on the legacy of the late Prof Graeme Hugo and will seek to honour his life’s work.

This year the Conference reviews the existing population projections for South Australia and explores the possibility of a revised population policy. It will examine the way in which migration and economic policy may be integrated into such a revision and the possible benefits of doing this.

This years key note speakers are Professor Paul James – Director, Institute for Culture and Society, University of Western Sydney, Professor Stephen Castles – Research Professor of Sociology, University of Sydney and Professor Jon Kellett, Professor of Planning & Property, The University of Adelaide.
