eChallenge Team Wins Commercialisation Funding

2010 eChallenge team LEAPIN – Remote Access Control and Security Solutions have won Commercialisation Australia funding to the tune of $50,000 for their smart phone locking system — one of 23 inventions to receive an Australian Government grant from a total pool of $10 million.

On announcing the funding Innovation Minister, Senator Kim Carr, said: “We need more Australian inventions making it out of the laboratory and into the marketplace”. The University of Adelaide’s ZEN eChallenge fosters entrepreneurial activity and the commercialisation of Australian innovation, and is a great way to kick-start the entrepreneurial journey.

We would like to congratulate LEAPIN on this wonderful achievement and wish them continued growth and success.
