Join us for the next instalment of our Experts In lecture series, featuring a free public lectures by visiting Swedish Academic Dr Göran Lindqvist titled ‘Clusters, Competitiveness and Co-operative Advantage’.

Industry clusters are groups of similar and related firms in a defined geographic area that share common markets, technologies and worker skill needs. The Barossa Valley is a leading example of an industry cluster and recent research shows that the South Australian wine industry leverages the cooperative advantages gained from clusters better than most.

To learn more about how the South Australian business sector can utilise industry clusters and compete on a global stage, please join us as Dr Lindqvist provides an overview of industry clusters, shares his learnings from successful cluster initiatives and discusses the implications for Australian businesses.

About Dr Göran Lindqvist
Dr Göran Lindqvist is Director of Research at the Stockholm School of Economics, and has been a visiting researcher at Harvard, studying co-location patterns of industry. Dr Lindqvist’s extensive research focuses on clusters, cluster metrics and cluster organisations, leading to co-authorship of the Cluster Initiative Greenbook.
