Professor Peter Dowd selected as 2013 Georges Matheron Lecturer

The School of Civil, Environmental and Mining Engineering’s Professor Peter Dowd has been selected as the 2013 Georges Matheron Lecturer. In honour of Georges Matheron, a  leader in the field of geostatistics, this prestigious award of the International Association for Mathematical Geosciences (IAMG) recognises a scientist with proven research ability in the field of spatial statistics or mathematical morphology.

Peter will present his lecture at the IAMG conference in Madrid in September.
