Casual work over the Adelaide Cup Long Weekend (March 9 – 12)

The Australian Road Research Board (ARRB) is seeking students to assist in the conducting of a survey of motorists in regional South Australia from Friday 9th to Monday 12th March.

Those chosen will meet the ARRB supervisor around 1pm on the Friday where they will be driven to either Tailem Bend and Port Augusta. Accommodation will be provided in these towns, returning to Adelaide Monday evening. All food expenses will be reimbursed. Students are required to wear neat casual dress and to behave professionally towards potential interview respondents and staff in the supporting venues at all times.The surveys will be conducted at service stations and will involve interacting with motorists, explaining the purpose of the study, handing out a card with a link to the online survey and encouraging their participation.

Students will be paid $23.35 per hour and will work in pairs. The likely work hours are:

Friday: 4 pm to 8 pm (4 hours)

Saturday, Sunday and Monday: 8 am and 5 pm (8 hours per day with an hour lunch break)
