Professor Kym Anderson has recently been appointed as President of the Policy Advisory Council of the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) and will also become Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Washington DC-based International Food Policy Research Institute as of 1 January, 2015.

The School of Economics would like to congratulate Professor Anderson on these appointments, to which he will use his extensive experience to contribute to the shared objectives of both organisations to reduce poverty and hunger in developing countries.
