2017 Fisher Lecture by Professor Alison Booth – ANU

The School of Economics was proud to host Professor Alison Booth, from the Australian National University who delivered the 2017 annual Joseph Fisher Lecture. Professor Booth’s lecture entitled“Choosing to Compete: How Different are Men and Women?” drew a large audience who were also very keen to ask questions after the presentation.

Alison Booth is Professor of Economics and Public Policy Fellow at the Australian National University, and a Research Fellow of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), London and of the IZA Bonn. She obtained her PhD from the London School of Economics and is a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia. Booth is Founding Fellow and past President of the European Association of Labour Economists (EALE), and was Editor-in-chief of Labour Economics from 1999-2004.  To view the lecture please click here.
