The Inaugural Education Leaders Breakfast was held at the School of Education, the University of Adelaide on Tuesday 5 April 2011.
Principals from Independent, Government and Catholic schools and TAFE leaders attended the event which was hosted by Head of School, Professor Tania Aspland.
After a warm welcome from Pascale Quester, Executive Dean for the Faculty of the Professions, Professor Aspland presented “Future directions of Education at the University of Adelaide; Implications for Partnerships.” This provided the perfect place for education leaders to meet and network with other education leaders in South Australia.
“School principals and their co-leaders are key partners in teacher education. They have deep insights into the field-based components of education that are essential to becoming a teacher.
Our students gain inspiration, motivation, expert knowledge and practical tips from leaders who have shaped education in South Australian schools for many years.” says Professor Tania Aspland, Head of the University of Adelaide’s School of Education.
“We look forward to continuing our work together and welcoming everyone to this event in 2012.”
