World Teachers Day: Congratulations Linda Beck

World Teachers Day Awards were held at the National Wine Centre on Friday 27th October 2017.

The University of Adelaide, School of Education acknowledged one of their outstanding graduates from 2017. Linda Beck completed the BTch/B Arts with a GPA of 6.3. Head of School, Professor Faye McCallum, presented Linda with her award.

Linda Beck is a member of the Golden Key International Society and also the English and History Teachers Associations of SA.
She has a strong willingness to learn and develop as a teacher and to keep up to date with current trends in educational research through her subject associations and other professional sources. During practicum, she participated in multiple opportunities for professional development including a suicide prevention workshop, a staff retreat on Abrahamic religions, and a workshop that developed her knowledge of the importance of feedback. She believes it is important to engage with people in the wider school community and through the South Australian English and History subject associations she intends to share, collate and discover resources and ideas with colleagues.

Congratulations to Linda on receiving this award.
