AusPlots Rangelands are holding field method training at Kalgoorlie and Credo Station in WA this week (7-12 October 2012).
AusPlots is a sub-facility of the Multi Scale Plot Network (MSPN), the largest TERN facility.
Participants, including a wide-ranging group of natural resource managers and researchers from across Australia, will be trained in the AusPlots survey methodology approved for use in TERN monitoring sites. The course runs over five days and includes theory training in Kalgoorlie and practical training at the TERN Great Western Woodlands SuperSite at Credo Station in WA.
The training focuses on practical experience and covers everything from site selection, site layout and positioning, sampling and use of the AusPlots field data collection mobile app.
