Dr Jimmy Breen

Dr Jimmy Breen from the Australian Centre for Ancient DNA (ACAD) was interviewed by Sarah Martin on Radio Adelaide’s The Sound of Science program about the new Online Ancient Genome Repository (OAGR).

The OAGR, set up by ACAD with the assistance of the University of Adelaide Library and eResearch SA, catalogues ancient human genome and microbiome data from around the world, making it available for teachers, scientists, the medical profession and the general public.

In his interview Dr Breen explains why the repository has been set up, and how it can provide valuable information on species survival and human health.
