The Environment Institute is proudly sponsoring the upcoming 2019 South Australian Coastal Conference. This two day event will consist of a number of experts speaking about our coasts.

This year the SA Coastal conference will have a number of sub-themes such as:
- coastal collaboration;
- blue carbon;
- coastal restoration;
- coastal hazards;
- coastal conservation;
- coastal processes; and
- gaps in our coastal knowledge.
Some of these themes, such as ‘coastal collaboration’ are particularly relevant for local government in SA with the recent creation of the SA Coastal Council Alliance. The ‘blue carbon’ theme is an important issue for the SA Premier’s Climate Change Council.
Come and meet with us to join in conversations that affect the SA Coast. You will have a great opportunity to interact with non-government organisations, community groups, coastal researchers and government staff who deal with coastal issues. The conference provides a venue for information exchange, networking and sharing of ideas for all those with an interest and commitment in looking after our precious coast.
Our EI member Professor Michelle Waycott is one of the keynote speakers at this event.
