Adelaide’s independent radio station, Radio Adelaide spoke with Professor Bob Hill about his newest way to engage young people.
Kirrilee Hay spoke with Professor Bob Hill, Director of the Environment Institute, University of Adelaide about PlanetFix competition. This new initiative, is aimed at giving South Australian high school students a voice about climate change.
Professor Hill encourages students to participate alone or involve their class or better yet, their school in the competition. The top 12 entries will be be invited to the University of Adelaide to meet staff and students and formulate a 250 word article. The top three students’ articles will then work with The Advertiser journalists to increase the article, ready to be published online.
There are some fantastic prizes including:
- Winner – $500 cash prize and final article printed in The Advertiser.
- Runner up – $300.
- Second runner up – $200.
- All 12 finalists – 12-month online subscription to the Advertiser valued at $260 each
- All 12 finalists – specially designed certificates.
