Meet the Thought Leaders on Global Agricultural Trade and Investment Policy

In March 2016 the EU Centre for Global Affairs at the University of Adelaide welcomes to Adelaide Dr Tassos Haniotis, Director of the Directorate General for Agriculture and Rural Development of the European Commission in Brussels.

On the occasion of Dr Haniotis’ visit, CEDA – in conjunction with the EU Centre for Global Affairs – is holding a luncheon discussion on current trends on global and regional agricultural trade and investment. Dr Haniotis will be joined by a second international speaker, Dr Joe Glauber Senior Research Fellow, International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), Washington DC.

This luncheon discussion and debate, including two of Adelaide’s key thinkers on Australia’s own agricultural future, Professor Kym Anderson AC, University of Adelaide and Catherine Sayer, CEO Food SA, offers a rare public opportunity for insight into perspectives from both sides of the Atlantic on trends in global and regional agricultural trade and investment.
