In February this year, the Vice Chancellor’s Executive Committee (VCE) endorsed a proposal for the University to commence a tendering process for the management of travel and accommodation.
The travel tender process is being run by the Financial Services team led by Jamie Dunnicliff (Project Manager) and Tony Mitchell (Project Sponsor). The tender evaluation team will be comprised of both Senior Management and key travellers, from Schools, Faculties and Divisions.
It is expected that the new preferred supplier arrangements will be implemented for use from 1 August 2014. In addition to the new preferred Travel Management Company, a simplified, portal approach for travel requirements will be in place.
