The University’s Finance system (PeopleSoft) will undergo a major upgrade from release 9.1 to 9.2 in 2016-2017.
The project will be conducted in two stages; Stage 1 encompasses an upgrade to the underlying infrastructure platform in August 2016 followed by Stage 2 which will upgrade the application to release 9.2 in 2017.
Impacts to Staff; in summary:
- The system will be offline from 4pm Friday 12th August, with services back on-line from 8am Monday 15th August – users are requested to review and action any pending approvals and transactions and log out of all PeopleSoft systems before 4pm.
- Staff who run reports within the Finance system; as part of Stage 1, all Financial System reports that are currently delivered using the ‘Crystal’ software tool are being transitioned to an alternative ‘Application Engine/BI publisher’ tool. From August 15, 2016 ‘Crystal’ reports will no longer be supported by the vendor. These reports are now available in the Finance system, the “_X” version of a report should be selected and from August 15th is the only option that will run successfully.
