The International Women’s Development Agency (IWDA) is the only feminist aid organisation in Australia. They do excellent research in the gender and aid area, as well as empowering women to take more effective charge of their destinies.
In the last 12 months IWDA and partners worked hard every day to promote women’s rights across the Asia Pacific.
What does this look like?
- 10,057 people were provided with training on gender awareness and women’s rights
- 3,313 women were trained in leadership and political skills in preparation for elections
- 97 women were supported to stand for election at the subnational or national level
- 688 women survivors of violence received services and support
With Australian aid funding at its lowest level in history, the IWDA relies on donations to continue its programs in support of women’s rights. Please consider making a donation to the IWDA.
