Global Food Systems and Food Security Workshop Summary

On November 30th, 2011, twenty two senior staff comprised of researchers from the Faculty of Professions, the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences, the Faculty of Sciences as well as policy and decision makers from SARDI and PIRSA and the Waite Research Institute, attended the “Global Food Systems and Food Security” workshop at the Waite Research Institute. The focus for the workshop was on research alliance building related to food security and global food systems, as well as preparatory discussions for key questions to be addressed at the February 13th Forum on ‘Reframing the Agenda – Food Security to 2050’.
