The Centre for Global Food and Resources, Executive Director, Professor Wendy Umberger, on behalf of the University and Agribusiness Australia welcomed guests for the co-sponsored afternoon at Ayres House on Monday 13 February 2017 where the use of Big Data in Agribusiness was in the spotlight.
Attendees heard presentations from University of Adelaide Alumnus Professor Philip Pardey, University of Minnesota and Dr Gabe Gusmini, PepsiCo and a panel session facilitated by Professor Christopher Findlay, Executive Dean for the Faculty of the Professions with Dr Tristan Coram, Head of Science and Business Development, Australian Grain Technologies (AGT), Tim Burrow, CEO Agribusiness Australia and Prof Phil Pardey and Dr Gabe Gusmini around the key topic: Big data and its application to Agribusiness.
Many members of the Agribusiness Advisory Board were present including Chair John Crosby. This was a great opportunity for university and industry stakeholders to come together to network after the presentations.
The Centre for Global Food and Resources look forward to co-sponsoring further events with Agribusiness Australia and bringing the university community and industry together.
