Manager’s Induction – First Program (25 February and 3 March 2015)

The Manager’s Induction program is designed for managers who are new to the University or new to a leadership role within the University. The two-part program gives managers an overview of how the University works and an understanding of the business functions that they are responsible for.

The program is presented by subject matter experts from each of the functional areas. Participants will understand their role in each of the topic areas as well as know where to go and who to contact for more information and other resources.

Program Outcomes

This program will enable managers to:

  • have a high level overview of University practices
  • be integrated into the University and the role of manager more quickly and effectively
  • find further information and support in a number of areas that they have responsibility for.

Who should attend?

For the purpose of the Manager’s Induction Program, a manager is defined as having direct staff reports.

It is a requirement for new managers to attend the Manager’s Induction program. Human Resources will identify participants and will coordinate attendance.
