Workers Compensation and the Return to Work Act

On Thursday 30 October 2014, the South Australian Parliament passed the Return to Work Act 2014 to deliver a new Return to Work scheme from 1 July 2015.

Human Resources is currently reviewing its Injury Management systems to ensure they comply with the Return to Work Act 2014. This will include a review and update of the Injury Management Handbook chapter, HR website and Injury Management Operations Manual.

Human Resources will be communicating with staff who have open claims to explain the changes to the legislation and the University’s injury management processes in the lead up to 1 July 2015 but if you have any questions please contact our Injury Management and Wellbeing Advisor.
