Timelines for Issuing Contracts

During the June peak period, we are seeking your assistance in submitting the CRAFT e-forms in a timely manner to enable HR to provide the best outcome possible for the fixed-term positions in your School/Branch.

*Back-pay will be facilitated where applicable.

**Note that prior to the approvals, the requests will work flow to HR for a compliance check. Requests with incorrect information will require follow-up that may delay issuing the contract and impact payment processes.

Notice Periods for Terminating Contracts

Where a contract is not being extended, a notice period may apply which must be factored into the timeline for submitting and approving the CRAFT terminations.

For notice periods and pay in lieu of notice, refer to Section 2.3.3 of the Enterprise Agreement 2014 – 2017, “Notice periods”.

HR System Upgrade

HR systems will be unavailable between 6 pm Thursday, 13th August until Monday, 17th August for a major upgrade. To facilitate a smooth transition to the new system, all requests for variations to payroll that require processing for the pay period ending 21 August 2015 must reach Human Resources by 5pm on Wednesday, 5 August 2015.

Casual Timesheet Submission and Approval

For casual work undertaken in the fortnight 25 July to 7 August 2015, with a pay date of 21 August 2015, the casual timesheet submission deadline will move to Saturday, 8th August 2015. All validations and escalations will need to be resolved before 11.59 pm on 11th August 2015.
