Remuneration and Employment Benefits Policy and Procedures

The Remuneration and Employment Benefits Policy and Procedures, have been approved by the Vice-Chancellor and President and are now available on the HR Website.

The key changes to note in these policies and procedures include:

Remuneration and Employment Benefits Policy

  • Includes a new principle for pay equity.
  • The leave entitlements delegations have been transferred from the Remuneration and Employment Benefits policy to the Workforce Management policy.
  • Higher Duties allowance has been added as a new delegation at the Head of School/Branch level.

Loadings, Allowances and Performance Bonus Procedure 

  • Additional clarification around Higher Duties
  • Each type of loading, allowance, bonus is set out in the Application section at the front of the document to assist Schools/Branches.
  • Approval level for higher duties allowance has been reduced from the Exec Dean level to the Head of School/Branch.

Position Classification Review Procedure

  • Minor edits.¬† Rewording to clarify existing arrangements.

Broadbanding Procedure

  • Minor edits.¬† Rewording to clarify existing arrangements.
