Launch of Appointment of Internal Candidates (AppoINT)

The AppoINT system has now gone live. Your allocated hiring coordinator can now access AppoINT to action internal appointments. This system does not replace PageUp, CRAFT or CASPA.

What does AppoINT stand for?

Appointment of Internal candidates.

What is an internal candidate?

The definition of an internal candidate is any continuing, fixed term or casual staff member, including contracts that have recently expired but not yet been terminated. For example, casuals can be appointed up to 30 days after their contract end date, as well as fixed term contracts that have ended but not formally terminated via CRAFT.

Excludes senior appointments.

What does this mean for our Hiring Co-ordinators?

  • To commence any recruitment activity you must first ensure that the position has a valid position number. This should be part of your pre-planning for all recruitment processes and direct appointments.
    • You will not be able to submit a job or offer card in Page Up or request an offer of employment via AppoINT without a valid position number. This field is now compulsory.
    • Please visit the Position Management website for further information.
  • All professional positions must have an approved and classified position description prior to any recruitment requests being submitted.
    • If a request is received via Page Up to advertise a professional position without a corresponding position description in the Position Description Library the request will be declined.
    • If a request is received via AppoINT to offer a contract for a professional position without a corresponding position description in the Position Description Library the request will be declined.
    • Please visit the Position Management website for further information.
  • Induction is now managed through the Induction Checklist – Existing Staff rather than the PageUp new starter tasks. Existing staff and their Hiring Managers will not receive notifications via email so it may be useful in the first couple of months to inform your hiring managers of this process and the checklist. More information is available at the Induction website.

Where can I go for further information?
