All University Drone Activity Currently Suspended

PLEASE NOTE:  ALL DRONE ACTIVITY BY OR ON BEHALF OF THE UNIVERSITY IS CURRENTLY SUSPENDED.

The URAF (Unmanned Research Aircraft Facility) is currently undergoing significant changes in its structure and it is currently recruiting key roles.  CASA (Civil Aviation Safety Authority) approvals in relation to the University drone operations will be required before drone flights can resume.

Until a new University Chief Remote Pilot is recruited, CASA has confirmed that no operations involving drones, or remotely piloted aircraft (RPA), can be conducted. Penalties apply for breaches of the Civil Aviation Safety Regulation 1998 – Part 101.

An update will be provided once the appointment has been approved and operations can recommence.

If you have any questions please contact the URAF https://www.adelaide.edu.au/environment/uraf/contact/.
