Income Statement (previously Payment Summary) now available

Staff Income Statements (previously known as a Payment Summary or Group Certificate) for the 2018/2019 financial year are now available via myGov.

What do you need to do?
With the recent introduction of Single Touch Payroll, access to Income Statements is now via your myGov account, linked to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) Online Services. If you have not previously set this up, visit the ATO website for instructions: Setting up your myGov Account

You may then proceed to lodge your tax return as usual, either through a registered tax agent or by using myTax.

What if you need a copy of your Income Statement and can’t access myGov?
The ATO can provide a copy of your Income Statement upon request.

Why does my 2018/2019 Income Statement show the period as being 25/5/2019 – 30/6/2019?
25/5/2019 is the first date the University reported to the ATO for Single Touch Payroll.  The salary and tax figures on your Income Statement reflect your full year to date earnings with the University for the 2018/2019 financial year.

Where can you get help?
For assistance in setting up your myGov account or for a copy of your Income Statement please contact the ATO on 13 28 61.
