The Media Internship is a fantastic course that Media students can enrol in to gain crucial real world experience in the workforce and have it count towards their Bachelor of Media.
Following the exceptional performance of current Channel Nine intern, Mihailo Spasojevic, Channel Nine Adelaide contacted the Course Coordinator, A/Prof Mary Griffiths, to commend the program and described Mihailo as one of the very best interns they have had.
Channel Nine also provided A/Prof Mary Griffiths, Dr Kathryn Bowd, and 11 Media students with a rare opportunity to gain a valuable insight into the world of news, by inviting them into the Nine studios one evening to watch the 6pm bulletin go to air, and then discuss any questions raised with the news director, producers, and reporters following the broadcast. The students were ecstatic to receive this opportunity.
The Media Internship Placement has many and diverse success stories with employment opportunities arising and host partnerships increasing, proving just how valuable internship programs are to not only our student’s future but for industry itself and our relationship with it.
