Helping other nations serves the national interest

Jim Redden, Senior Program Manager at the Institute for International Trade at the University of Adelaide, says that expected cutbacks to overseas aid in the budget handed down tonight will undermine not only Australia’s ability to respond adequately to emergencies such as the Nepalese earthquake but also may work against our economic and diplomatic interests.
