dave and renata in us croppedA/Prof David Jeffery and Dr Renata Ristic presented at the ‘From Fermentation to Fume Hood: the Chemistry of Wine’ Symposium, at the 254th American Chemical Society National Meeting & Exposition, held in Washington, DC, 20-24 August 2017. The ACS meetings are the largest international chemistry conferences, and routinely host more than 10,000 attendees and over 1,000 exhibitors.

The Division of Agricultural and Food Chemistry sessions of relevance to our research were almost fully booked and had an excellent array of presenters. We had the opportunity to present our research to an audience of around 65 attendees in a session with world-renowned scientists including A. Waterhouse, USA (co-author of a wine chemistry textbook with David, which was on sale at the exhibition); V. Cheynier, France; F. Mattivi, Italy; U. Fisher, Germany; R. Schneider, France, and many more (including collaborators from Australia).
