Student Clubs at The University

The purpose of the Clubs Association is to foster social, cultural and intellectual activities of its members. This is achieved by providing financial and administrative support to clubs as well as providing facilities for club usage.

This weeks featured Club:

Adelaide University Film Society (AUFS)

The Film Society is a group of film lovers who get together to watch films of all ages, genres, ideals etc. each week during the University teaching weeks at the Union Cinema (lvl 5, Union Building).  AUFS also hold special screenings at local cinemas of new release films.

The easiest way to contact the AUFS and join is via email OR the AUFS Facebook Group, the group page lists upcomming events such as this week’s film.  A phenomenon in its home country of France, the hilarious ‘Welcome To The Sticks’ (Bienvenue Chez Les Ch’tis), screening Thursday 30 May at 7:00pm in the Union Cinema, Union Building.

Some of the films the AUFS have screened are:
Spirited Away, Microcosmos, Yojimbo, Pushpak, The Conversation, M, To Kill a Mockingbird, Gabbeh, Lolita (Kubrick), Bad Boy Bubby, Eraserhead (Lynch), Koyaanisqatsi: Life Out of Balance, Debbie Does Dallas, old TV series episodes, schlock horror, German films, French films, Japanese films, arthouse films, classic films, foreign films, cult films, bizarre films cos we can, & more…

activites & hobbies
faculty or departmental
issue-based or political
cultural or religious

Search through the listings, find a club that you think sounds like fun, and meet other students at the University, with similar interests to you now!
