Learn the meaning behind different Aboriginal designs and symbols before creating your own artwork.

Aboriginal Artifacts Workshop – Allan Sumner: 12pm-1.30pm*
The Aboriginal artifact workshop provides visual and practical information about traditional tools such as spears and spear throwers, fire sticks, boomerangs and much more. Learn where they come from and how they were made and used.

Weaving Workshop – Southern Weavers: 10am-11.30am*
Sit down with the aunties and have a yarn as they teach you how to weave raffia baskets and mats.

Pitjantjarra Language Class – Sandra Ken: 3pm-4.30pm*
Bring your notebook along to this lesson as Sandra Ken teaches the basics of the Pitjantjarra language.

Torres Strait Island Dance Costume Making – Sam Nona: 3pm-4.30pm*
This interactive workshop shows you how to make dance costumes used in dancing across the Torres Strait Islands. Learn how to make a zazi (grass skirt) and headbands.

Traditional Dance workshop – Taikurtinna: 10am-11am*
Watch and learn the basics of traditional dance from the local Adelaide Kaurna people.

Traditional Dance Performance – Taikurtinna: 11.30am-12.00pm & 3.30pm-4.00pm
Come along and enjoy a performance by Taikurtinna.
