Going to university often brings with it new experiences and many ‘firsts’, that is, the first time you have experienced something. It may be your first tutorial, your first group assignment or field trip. Many ‘firsts’ are simply experimental – you’re away from home and have more freedom than you’ve ever had before. You may be having a busy social time and be drinking alcohol for the first time or in larger quantities than you have previously.
