“Rail Safety is everybody’s responsibility!”
The Rail Safety Week (RSW) is an Australasian Railway Association (ARA)initiative that has been running since 2006. This year it is observed on this week August 10-16 throughout Australia. RSW aims to provide education and awareness around raliway level crossing and track safety.
In South Australia, the Public Transport Safety branch will have a trailer set up with rail safety messages at pedestrian mazes at the level crossings at various locations. Please visit the RSW website for more information on various activities during the week.
