What is the Adelaide Graduate Award?

The Adelaide Graduate Award is a free program that helps you get more out of your university experience through self-guided participation in volunteering, professional development, paid employment and more. There are over 100 options for extracurricular activities that count toward achieving the Award, and you can choose whichever ones interest you the most. By participating in the Award, you will make new connections and develop important employability skills. It is open to students from all faculties!

The Award is a great way to package your extra-curricular activities on your CV with a formal recognition from the University. If you have already been participating in extra-curricular activities during your degree, you can have that time credited towards achieving the Award.

Meet Hussam!

Hussam studied a PhD in Nursing with the AHMS faculty, and achieved the Adelaide Graduate Award in 2018.

“Being immersed in the environment of the Adelaide Nursing School, I had the opportunity of being a voluntary member of different committees. The Adelaide Graduate Award paid off all of the hard work and time spent on top of the knowledge and skills that are pivotal in my future career. As a Higher Degree by Research candidate, the award will be a laurel on my transcript which will make me highly qualified and stay competitive to my future employer.
