The new Learning Hub is due to open on 12 September 2011. It will be an all-weather space spread across multiple levels of the existing Hughes Plaza in the heart of the North Terrace campus, and will include space for collaborative student study, computer and printing facilities, exhibition and function space. It will also offer easy access to the Barr Smith Library and direct access through to the Flentje, Hughes, and Polygon Lecture Theatres. Before the Hub opens it is timely for us to consider the benefit that the Law School and law students can derive from this space, and how the facilities it offers can be integrated into our learning environment.
Please join us for a seminar on Tuesday, 26 July at which we will discuss these important questions. Kendra Backstrom, the Programme Director of the Learning Hub Project Team, will speak about what the Hub will offer. This will be followed by a round table discussion about how the Law School can best use the Hub.
