Extension to the closing date for the ‘Images of Justice’ photographic competition

The University of Adelaide law School in conjunction with Art and Heritage Collections is proud to announce the inaugural photographic competition for 2012. The Adelaide Law School invites entrants to explore the broad theme of ‘Images of Justice’. The competition’s principal sponsor is Lipman Karas.

The competition is a great opportunity for amateur and professional photographers to consider the law in a different light. The theme gives photographers a licence to explore law through imagery. As Mr Skip Lipman notes ‘we hope that it will lead to a number of compelling and creative works being produced, entered and displayed.’

The three categories are: Students (Secondary and Tertiary), Community and Professional Photographers. Finalists in each category will have their photo exhibited at the University of Adelaide. First prize for each category is $1000.

The judging panel will consist of high-profile representatives from the art and legal worlds and they will be judging the work on its creative interpretation of ‘justice’.

The closing deadline for entries is 20 August 2012. Further details and competition rules can be found here
