GDLP Week 2015 – Stay With the Best

Are you thinking about the next step in your Law career? Once you have graduated from your degree, the Adelaide GDLP is the final piece of the puzzle that allows you to practise law. To provide you with all the information you need before getting started the Law School will be hosting GDLP Week from 3-6 August 2015.

GDLP Week involves a range of information sessions and events for students from all year levels, so whether you are in your final year deciding what to do next or just starting your degree, there is something for everyone.

GDLP week schedule 2015

All events will be held up on level 5 in Ligertwood, with free coffee to be provided. No need to RSVP, just show up on the day.

Monday 3 August 2015

11:15: ‘Admission, Your Questions Answered’, for 4th and 5th year Law students (all students welcome)
Featuring guest speakers Rosalind Burke, Director – Ethics and Practice (Law Society of South Australia) and Gina Briggs – Ethics and Practice (Law Society of South Australia).

12:15: GDLP information session for 4th and 5th year students.

Tuesday 4 August 2015

11:15 and 12:15: GDLP information session for 2nd and 3rd year students.

Wednesday 5 August 2015

11:15 and 12:15: GDLP information session for 1st year students.

Thursday 6 August 2015

11:15 and 12:15: GDLP information session for all students. Lunch (soup) will be provided at the 12:15 session.

1:15 – 2pm: CPD Session ‘Lessons from the profession: the skills you need’

You have studied law and if you wish to be admitted as a legal practitioner you will need to complete your practical legal training. But what else can you do to optimise your options for working in the law? What should you pay attention to in your personal development? How can you use networking to your advantage?” Come along to our session to hear from our expert panel.
