Preparing Yourself for Practice: Putting Your Best Foot Forward
Each year the Law Society and University of Adelaide Law School host a morning tea event for the final year law students with the theme of “Preparing Yourself for Practice: Putting Your Best Foot Forward”. This year’s event is to be held 10.15 am to midday on Thursday 26 May on Level 5 of the Ligertwood Building at the Law School.
This year’s special guests are Meredith Dickson, Barrister, Elizabeth Evatt Chambers and Rosie Cardone, Cardone and Associates who will provide insights into their careers and offer helpful tips and traps on putting your best foot forward to build a successful career in the law.
Meredith Dickson, Barrister, Elizabeth Evatt Chambers
Meredith regularly features in the annual Doyles list of leading South Australian based Family Law barristers and she practices in all facets of family law. Meredith is a member of the Law Council of Australia’s Family Law Section, Vice President of the South Australian Bar Association and a member of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
Rosie Cardone, Principal, Cardone and Associates
Rosie began her legal career in 1975 and has gained a wealth of experience in all aspects of family and de facto law and child support. Rosie has been a long-standing member of the Law Society of South Australia and for many years was involved at executive level. She is also a member of the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia and has held various mentoring roles in the profession.
