Does international humanitarian law apply in outer space?

The International Committee for the Red Cross has launched a blog series on ‘Why Outer Space Matters’. As part of this series, A/Prof Dale Stephens has posted a piece on whether international humanitarian law applies to armed conflict in outer space.

The International Committee for the Red Cross is an institutional contributor to the MILAMOS Project. Adelaide Law School, through RUMLAE, is a founding partner with McGill University (Centre for Air and Space Law) in this exciting and ground-breaking research project related top space security and the governance of outer space.
