2017 John Bray Oration: ‘Law Reform: The Scottish Perspective’

John Bray OrationThe John Bray Law Alumni Network and the Adelaide Law School were thrilled to host Mr Len Murray – Scottish Pleader (Retired) for the annual John Bray Oration.

Mr Len Murray, delivered the address, entitled ‘Law Reform: The Scottish perspective’. Mr Murray spoke about some of the unique features of the Scottish legal system including the extraordinarily strict time limits and its impact on victims, witnesses, accused persons and the state. He also speak about his experiences with the death penalty in Scotland and the importance of the global movement for its international abolition.2017 John Bray Oration
