UN Day Lecture presented by Professor Christopher Symes

October 24 is UN Day and in Adelaide this was celebrated with the UN Day Lecture hosted by the Federal Court. Professor Christopher Symes of Adelaide Law School gave the Lecture on his reflections on UNCITRAL’s Model Law on Cross Border Insolvency. Professor Symes outlined the achievements of Working Group V and Australia’s adoption and use of the Model Law. He also informed the audience of the present work of this Working Group on MSMEs. Professor Symes attended Working Group V in Vienna in 2018. He finished the Lecture mentioning the likely and potential areas for its future work. Brendon Robert QC provided a commentary.
