Inside the Parliament house library – rare book display

Inside the Parliament house Library – Behind a glass casing for both preservation and security there is a paper mache globe (2 of them, terrestrial one dates back to 1854) and a Orrerey (1868) with moving planets around our solar sysyem. The Orrerey is in full working order- but is missing a few of the other planets moons as they had not been discovered back then.

Parliament House Library – This is the stronghold for storing the rare books. Notice how thick the walls are. The oldest book dates back to 1637 and is a bible.
