Welcome to our very first blog on the Learning Analytics project!
‘Learning Analytics’ is defined by The University of Adelaide as:
“The practice of developing actionable insights through the collection, analysis and reporting of data about learners and their contexts, for purposes of understanding and optimising learning and the environments in which it occurs. ”
Thus, to provide Staff and Students with Learning Analytics insights, we aim to:
- Define and implement effective processes for the selection and sourcing of learning analytics from learning technologies, for continued use by staff and students
- Enable the University’s staff and students to access learning analytics which supports evidence-informed engagement with, and design of, learning and teaching activities
- Facilitate appropriate support processes for relevant stakeholders to engage in shared and accurate interpretation of learning analytics, including implementation of actionable responses
We are very excited about this project and are looking forward to getting staff and students involved.
