Building News – update

Regular visitors to the Barr Smith Library will have noticed a great deal of building activity. This is all related to the Hughes Plaza Learning Hub, which has a significant impact on the Library since most of Level 3 South is directly beneath the Plaza, so that all services in that area have been relocated elsewhere within the Library.

These are projects that have been recently completed (or soon will be!) in the Library:

  • Construction of a new space for Reserve in the Level 3 North area. Now open for business.
  • Construction of a new Microform collection space on Level 1. This is happening now, with an expected completion date of 27th March.
  • Construction of a new Adaptive Technology room adjacent to the New Books area.
