We live in a world surrounded by technology, but only a tiny fraction of us are learning computer science. Coding is becoming an increasingly important skill in research and many research disciplines today involve some form of computation. But, how do you learn to code?
Bring along your lunch and your laptop or tablet and explore free online coding tutorials with support from others.
The University of Adelaide Computer Science Education Research Group (CSER) and eResearch Support (University Libraries and Technology Services) are teaming up to bring staff and students this free lunchtime event, which is suitable for people with no prior coding experience.
By the end of the hour, we will have you coding!
12:30-1:30pm Friday 12 December, Horace Lamb Building Room 422 (entrance via the Hub).
Registration is essential. Please register here: http://uoahourofcode.eventbrite.com.au/
