You may notice an increase in librarians wandering around Adelaide over the next few days as the ALIA National 2016 Conference rolls into town. You may have already honed your librarian-spotting skills, but our best suggestion is to look for a person with a bag featuring a literary / book / coffee reference on it (and if you spot someone with a bag that has all three… simply go up and ask them which library they work in!).
To all of the delegates here for the conference we say welcome! It is going to be a wonderful few days of discovery and inspiration, and we are proud that the University is sponsoring such an important event. The theme of the conference Engage, Create, Lead is one that resonates strongly with many libraries as we continue to push through a significant period of transformation and reinvention.
For those coming from interstate we hope you have the opportunity to explore Adelaide and all it has to offer. For tips from the locals please visit the University Libraries stand in the exhibition area (and while you’re there, don’t forget to book into one of the fabulous VR sessions…).
From all at the University Libraries we hope you have a wonderful conference.
